Having had a total hip replacement on the 12th December 2018, I can thoroughly recommend this Doctor. His bedside manner is perfect, his diagnosis thorough & his surgical skill exemplary. As an 86 year old ex X-ray engineer Mr Spiegelberg tops my list of the best doctors I have met bar none. Thank you very much Sir.

I had a hip replacement at St Albans Hospital 28/11/2018 , Mr Spiegelberg visited me on the ward before the operation and explained what would happen and gave me estimate of what time I would go for surgery, he is very professional, polite and explains everything very clearly , he answers any questions and takes time to explain what to expect.Mr Spiegelberg visited me on the ward after the operation and said he would see me again at the 6 week post op appointment.
I have made a good recovery and was off crutches at 3 weeks post op.Mr Spiegelberg is an excellent surgeon the care I received was amazing and I was so grateful to have Mr Spiegelberg as my surgeon. I would throughly recommend him as a great Orthopaedic Surgeon.

I had a hip operation by Mr Spiegelberg and the moment I met him it gave me confidence that previously was lacking, convinced me to have an epidural instead of full anesthetic and during the procedure, I did not feel any pain or discomfort.
His team was also very efficient and attentive and I have got very high respect for his
work and demeanor and I praise and thank him for giving me back a good quality of life.

Great surgeon and very attentive.I had a replacement hip operation and he was there when I went in early morning and was still there late in the evening. Minimum discomfort afterwards and was able to drive within 3 days!

Mr. Ben Spiegelberg is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in adult hip and knee surgery. He underwent specialist training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and subsequent Specialist Registrar training on the Oxford registrar rotation centred at Oxford University. He spent a year in Canada on the internationally renowned University of Western Ontario Adult Reconstruction Fellowship program prior to being appointed Consultant at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Spiegelberg sees and treats many orthopaedic conditions and fractures. His sub-specialty interests are hip and knee surgery, including knee and hip replacement, partial knee replacement, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), cartilage transplantation and revision (redo) joint replacements.
